Since I was four I knew I wanted to be an artist of some kind, but I was told that I needed to take business classes if I wanted to make it in the "real world." I went down the administrative path for some time and while I was successful at it, I was longing for something more.
After some serious soul searching and research, I discovered the graphic design industry and quickly obtained an Associate Degree on the subject. Graduated and eager, I landed a position with a reputable print facility and began learning the ropes while building my portfolio. After about a year a local marketing agency offered me a position and I gladly accepted. I love the variety of work that I get to do and I learn something new every day!
